Uperdooper's Italian Chili

Pasta Fagioli (Italian Chili)

1 lb. ground beef
2 15 oz. cans stewed tomatoes
2 15 oz cans beef broth
1 can great northern beans
1 chopped onion
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp chili powder or more to taste
1 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp marjoram leaves
1/4 tsp basil leaves
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp tarragon
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup small pasta or elbow macaroni
1/4 tsp baking soda

Brown beef and drain. Add all ingredients except for macaroni and baking soda. Bring to boil and add baking soda. When fizzing stops add macaroni and cook on medium for 20 minutes.

Serve with fresh grated Parmesan cheese and sour cream.
